Product Description

Synopsis

"True Friends!" is the first of a series of books about twins, Rom and Disk. The series explores various aspects of the twins' lives, their friendships, family and relationships at school. The character's names are all computer related and link the simplicity and fun of the lives of today's young children to the high tech computer age in which they are engulfed. Each story provides a moral, which the reader can take away and reflect upon. In this first book, children will enjoy getting to know Rom, Disk and their good friend Printer and will also be introduced to the school bad boy, Virus. You can anticipate many more adventures in future books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Book, 24 Jul 2007
By G. Beardsall "George Beardsall" (London) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
A great story with very good moral message concerning the nature of friendship and integrity. The writing is clear and concise with well defined characters. The story works on several levels and will work in different contexts. I enjoyed reading True Friends (as an adult), and would definately recommend reading this book to children. The illustrations are brilliantly done and illuminate the story perfectly, and the inclusion of a glossary is a great idea and adds to the value of the book. I look forward to reading many more books by Susan Fayinka!

4.0 out of 5 stars True Friends, 27 Jul 2007
I recieved this book as a present for my 3 kids (ages 8,6,5). We sat down and read it together one night and they loved the book. The story has a great truth to it and the characters were very likeable. The kids wanted to know what all the names meant ("whats a virus?") and loved the fact they were talking about computer characters but in a setting they could relate.. They are eagerly awaiting the next installment !

5.0 out of 5 stars What is friendship?, 29 Jul 2007
Friendship is being supportive. When you are in difficulty, your true friend is the one who stick together with you. This book tells the wonderful value of friendship and also tells children that telling the truth after they've done something wrong is being half forgiven... A great book to read in the class and at home, very well written and illustrated.
