I'm really pleased with this. I did a yoga workshop and one of the guest presenters was James D'Silva of Garuda Yoga/Pilates, who is the one who actually choreographed and leads the routines on this DVD -- so kept an eye out for this and pre-ordered to get it asap. D'Silva is great and this dvd is as well. Styler is much more than just window dressing, though, as she is a genuine yogini, you can see that, and she adds a great deal to the programme as the 'student' doing the poses, even if she is not actually the 'teacher', as the dvd cover indicates.
So, the specs, 4 short routines: 35 mins of Chair Yoga (don't be fooled, chair yoga, as my legs and bum found out, does not mean 'sit down/no-real-work' yoga. This was my favourite routine in the entire dvd, as I have weak wrists and often dont get to do a lot of poses that require me to put pressure on them. So finally a routine I can do all of!). Then there is a 18 minute conditioning/muscle strengthening focused routine. A 24 min full body workout (probably the most physically challenging, sweat-inducing of the set). And finally a 15 abs/core routine.
I like that I can do all for one mega session (which I did as soon as it arrived), or pick and choose, combine as I wish for however much time I have in the coming days.
And, finally, there are extras with recipes and pep talks for keeping up your motivation. All okay. Just not a reason for buying this dvd.
But the yoga work is fab. Buy it for that. This really is one of those DVDs I will use again and again. Not one that will languish and gather dust.
