This is a great book on some of the old classics. I really enjoyed reading a bit of the history as well as having the pictures and pattern. This is my favorite of the 3 "Flies of " series.

What a fabulous book for reference.
Stan has a formidable range of talents as a designer of flies,fishing expert,and all round nice guy to know.
He ties flies extremely well and has time for everyone.
This surely is a benchmark reference book for serious anglers of our generation.Go on and buy the book..the best investment you will make.By the way, in comparison to the cost of tackle, and good fishing beats,lochs etc.....where you have to do all the guessing, this will make all these costs seem worthwhile and you shouldn't go home empty handed.Tight Lines

Stan Headley has written an invaluable book for fly tiers interested in going beyond Adamses, BWOs, and the patterns of the standard American repertoire. His descriptions are enlightening and entertaining as well as helpful. If this book again becomes available, grab it!
