Product Description

Product Description

Janet Evanovich, the New York Times #1 best-selling author of Finger Lickin' Fifteen, brings Alexandra Barnaby and Sam Hooker, from the hit Barnaby novels Metro Girl and Motor Mouth, to Dark Horse Comics with her debut graphic novel - Troublemaker! Alex Barnaby and Sam Hooker are back together and fighting crime the only way they know how - by leaving a trail of chaos, panic, and disorder. Alex, an auto mechanic and spotter for racecar driver Sam Hooker, is drawn to trouble like a giant palmetto bug to a day-old taco. Unfortunately, she's also drawn to Hooker in the same fashion. There's no steering clear of trouble or Hooker when friends Rosa and Felicia call for help. A man has gone missing, and in order to find him Barnaby and Hooker will have to go deep into the underbelly of Miami and south Florida, surviving Petro Voodoo, explosions, gift- wrapped body parts, a deadly swamp chase, and Hooker's mom.

it's a comic! 5 Aug 2010
Format:Hardcover
i love janet evanovich novels and buy every single one! altho this was a fantastic story line - it was a comic book!! so i was already thinking that i had been ripped off slightly, paying a normal price, for a comic strip that took me about 20 mins to read. however near to the end i was thinking fair enough, it is a great storyline (as usual), and the comic strip was a different version.... BUT.... then i get to the last page and the story doesn't finish!!!! the next 'book' will be out soon, again in comic strip, so i didn't even finish the story!!! so not only is it a book of pictures, which only occupies 20mins of your time - the storyline doesn't finish so you are going to have to fork out more money on another comic strip to find out what happened! i was not impressed.

Trouble maker 21 Aug 2010
By Squeak
Format:Hardcover
Not at all what i was expecting from Janet Evanovich - the story is difficult to follow, never really gets going and ends very abruptly. Nice graphics but otherwise a waste of good paper.

Its Ok 23 Aug 2010
Format:Hardcover
Purchased this book and did not realise that it was a picture story book, but thought, i'll give it a go, bearing in mind that i've read most of the Janet's other books, to be honest I was not impressed. Not with the pictures, design or the actual book layout but more about the story line! I read it and I feel that it was not a complete story! to continue the story you will need to buy trouble maker 2! which, to be honest, i will probably buy but not untill it comes down in price.

Why is it always so quiet on the comics fora ? And Jack Kirby - which was better....his marvel Stan Lee heyday with the FF etc or his DC. 70s explosion with New Gods and Forever people and stuff...? 11 2 hours ago

OK well - Jonathan Ross has made a decent fist of entering the comic universe - which celebrity can't you wait for to enter the fray with their own graphic novel, and er, if you like, what would it be about ? 1 1 day ago
