Product Description

When Lucy Carter lands a job in a stately home she feels that all her dreams have come true. Not only is she in fabulous surroundings deep in the country but she is also working for the Earl of Arden. He was once married to the beautiful Becca Hetherington, a gold-medal-winning three-day eventer, and together they were Britain's golden couple – until Becca was killed in a tragic accident. Now a widower, the Earl is a brooding, romantic figure and there are many women, one in particular, who have their sights set on becoming the next Countess. As Lucy settles into her new job, she finds herself increasingly drawn to the Earl, and she isn't alone; all the staff adore him and are fiercely loyal. But as Lucy glimpses behind the money and glamour, she realises that the Earl's past isn't the fairytale everyone believed...

Brilliant!! 12 May 2012
By Suzanne
Format:Kindle Edition
I loved this story so much. i read this after being discharged from hospital so i was really struggling to concentrate and it was the perfect light read i needed.

'The Trophy Girl' tells the story of Lucy who comes to live with the Hetherington family as the nanny. The little boy's mother was killed in a horse riding accident and his father is an Earl. Lucy and The Earl don't get off to the greatest of starts and jealousy sparks within Lucy when she witnesses the woman who fall over the Earl, desperate for his attention. However, what Lucy doesn't realise is that the only womanly attention he wants, is from her.

'The Trophy Girl' is a fantastic read and one i will be recommending to friends.

Cliche but fun 18 Oct 2010
Format:Paperback
Okay, the idea that an earl is going to fall for the nanny is a bit of a cliché but as a piece of fun escapism this book pressed all the right buttons. I was about halfway through when I realised it was a reworking of Rebecca although the wonderful Edward, Earl of Arden, is so much more fanciable than the rather creepy Max de Winter. Loved it

falls flat 6 Jun 2009
Format:Paperback
the nanny falls in love with the master of the house who happens to be an earl and is rolling in cash. she is from a more common background and is unsure of her feelings. there is no real connection between them or any chemistry that makes u think that they should be together. also the nemesis to the nanny seems to back off rather easily which as her character is made out to be an uber bitch wasnt really realistic. the ending is rather lame and predictable.
