A classic made epic,
By Mr. J. D. Kilner "Joe 909" (Rotherham, South Yorkshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Tron Legacy: Reconfigured (Audio CD)
The original soundtrack to Tron is the most accomplished piece of electronic music since Vangelis 'Blade Runner'. When I heard it was going to be remixed by the great and the good of the electronic dance scene, I jumped at the chance. I was not disappointed. The variety of remixes caters for all tastes, and each one treats the original with the respect it deserves. There is a welcome return from Photek, now in a house vibe, plus contributions from Boyz Noize and Paul Oakenfold. I advise anyone to by this album, and most importantly to buy the original soundtrack too. Any lover of quality electronic sondscapes should immerse themselves in these masterpieces.

life on the euro pop side,
This review is from: Tron Legacy: Reconfigured (Audio CD)
i bought the movie soudtrack first.(previously reviewed)i wanted an album of mixable tunes, the "original soundtrack" is not.the reconfigured version has plenty of tough bouncy tunes to play with. "it's europop jim but not as we know it". i enjoyed listening to this work as a stand alone record. i am enjoying working out which tunes to mix with. as there are movie clips inserted, the minimalist nature of daft punk is somewhat reduced . so a good mix needs a minimal tune to feed in/out of.
