This is an excellent harness and with 3 dogs we've had a few. It is well padded and comportable for the dog to wear. It has a detachable strap which alows the the dog to be removed from the car without having to unclip the seat belt. This is useful particularly when putting the dog back in the car as ours always sit on the seatbelt socket and then refuse to move.

I aready have two of these harness's for my other two dogs and purchased this one for my new puppy who is rather large, although this is a harness for use in your car, I also perfer this harness for walking my dogs. I have found that harness's I have purchased meant for walking the dog are oft times not up to the job! In my experience as soon as the dog pulls backwards on the lead other designs of harness's are apt to come right off over the dogs head not a good thing in a built up area, providing this driving harness is properly fitted and is the correct size for your dog this does not happen.

My dog thinks that car travel is one big adventure and really likes going places so getting something practical which would keep her safely in the back seat was the plan. My dog is a mutt and sizing comes in at say 'small lab' but in reading up I picked up that others had said that some harnesses come in smaller than expected. This is certainly a large size and there's lots of capacity for adjustment both around the dog and also for fitting the length of strap into the seatbelt. I wanted an option for nose out of window without her getting the idea that climbing out of the window was possible. Mad rabbit chaser dog. So we now can both enjoy the ride.
I also got a back seat cover which hooks over the car front and back head rests. Has two purposes - to stop her sliding off the seat into the foot well and also keeps the car seats clean.
Only concern I had with the harness is that it comes with a warning that the seat belt catch may not fit into all models of cars and it seems narrower that a car standard fitting. However I tried this in a Mazda, Toyota, and Honda (mine and friends cars) and it seems fine. The harness seems to be primarily for the German market.
