Product Description

Product Description

The Triumph Bonneville has been one of motorcycling's most enduring British icons. The name comes from the Utah salt flats where a streamlined twin-cylinder Triumph captured the World Motorcycle Speed Record in 1956. In 1959, the first Bonneville, the T120, appeared, and the Bonneville name would remain a revered badge of motorcycling honour for the following three decades. This elegant, picture-lavish book, featuring Bonnevilles specially photographed in a studio setting, pays tribute by showing all the classic models in exquisite photographic detail, accompanied by an expert commentary. This is a visual feast for all Bonneville enthusiasts.

About the Author

The Triumph remains a legend amongst motorcyclists for it's style and performance, a media icon beloved worldwide of sportsmen and counterculture heroes.

The most famous Triumph model, the Bonneville, is deserving of a pictorial history all of it's own. Mainly covering 650cc T120 and 750cc T140 models, the authors display nearly all the variants including Thruxton, Competition Special, TT, Jubilee, Royal Wedding, TSX and TSS as well as Harris ad Hinckley versions.

Notably missing are the 'D Special', home and export versions of the Royal Wedding and Jubilee, respectively and the touring Executive model. That said, a rare (3 made !) 1983 TSS-AV is extensively photographed as are home and export T120s from the classic 1960's and a T110 , the precursor to the 1959 'Bonnie', an example of which is also well-illustrated.

The text is informed, crisp and clear as are the photographs, all bikes being photographed against a white studio background.

I expect that this book will sell well worldwide so get yours now !

Expect a 2012 calendar based on these photographs , no doubt ...!

The cover of this book is a beacon to what is inside - absolutely beautiful photographs of those classic Triumph Bonnevilles of years '59 to '70
The informative text is just right in length and well researched. One down turn is that there are a lot of US export models and not enough of the UK and general export models. Perhaps a later edition may provide both US and UK models for each year.
However, the writer and photographer have chosen their subject well and have many beautifully restored models to delight the eye.
If you are into Triumph Bonnevilles, what's not to love about this book....

This is a must have for any Bonneville enthusiast. The photography is excellent with a lot of effort to ensure the motorcycles are depicted at their best.
