Book Description

17 Mar 2011 Eye Classics
Robbie Marshall had it all love, children and a successful business. So why did he trade it all in for the saddle of a Triumph Trophy and an out-of-date world atlas? Robbie knew that if he did not indulge his desire to explore, he would regret it for the rest of his life. After shipping his Triumph motorbike to the United States, Robbie kick-started his life on a journey that would take him across five continents and around the globe. Despite witnessing a gangland execution, sleeping rough and getting imprisoned and mugged, Robbie had the time of his life. Triumph Around the World is one hell of a ride

Review

Robbie Marshall is a hero, a man who took his lifestyle and shook it upside down, jumped on a bike and took off. --George Shaw

The story is amazing: I could not help but admire his courage, sheer bloody0mindedness and his soul-searching. An insightful travel essay that flowed easily instead of choking on itself like an engine with carb problems. --Linda Raven Moore, Author of A Little Twist of Texas

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book. One of the best of its genre. 22 Nov 2012
Format:Paperback
Highly recommended. There are some awful books within the motorcycle travel genre. This is most certainly not one of them. Robbie tells a great story and is very honest. It could have been a lot longer is my only criticism.

5.0 out of 5 stars Triumph around the world 29 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
About to undertake my first tour in August 2014 albeit just to France I have read quite a few similar books. However I feel that this one was closest to how I hope to feel when on the road .the writing is funny and thought provoking with a little sub plot running through it.I highly recommend it,now where did I put my passport?
