Tristan, the dark heart of Patrick's second album Wind in the Wires sees Patrick possessed by a great new brave spirit. Different to the rather organic sounds of the rest of the album, the song mixes a strong beat with the likes of the accordion along with Patricks strong and intense vocals.

A live favourite and standout song from the album because of its different tone and amazing sound, Tristan can only be described as magical. The perfect two-minute and thirty-five second medieval electronic hedonistic digital romantic hardcore anthem. Part possession, part Cornish legend, part Wagner opera, "Tristan" is the perfect song.

The other songs included on this single are Idumea, a new and beautiful arrangement of an ancient christian folk song from the deep south of America, also recorded by The Watersons in 1977. Also "The Hazelwood" a beautiful sung version of The Song Of Wondering Aegnus, a poem by W.B.Keats, accompanied by a violin and guitar instromentation. Simply beautiful and rather raw in comparison to Triston.

On this single you get more than a single, you get three stunning songs, all diffrent in tone and arrangement and all able to transport you to a new musical world. Buy it... stick it on you CD player and let the usic do the talking.

Tristan is a such a powerful, electric song that I had to buy it. And of course how can I forget The Hazelwood and Idumea! This 3-songed cd will blow your minds.

This due is AWESOME. What a talent. He combines classical music with pop and alliterative rock. Nothing he does is bad. I don't understand why he's not more widely played unless it is by his own design.
