Recently I was stunned by the extortionate fees for hold luggage that the budget airlines charge!!
Easyjet is charging something like £30 a few months ago for 1 bag and Ryanair is just as bad and even lost my bag once on the way to Greece.
As they all allow 1 piece of free hand luggage I decided the best way to avoid the obscene charges is to maximise my hand luggage efficiency!
These cabinzero bags have been designed specifically to meet this purpose. It basically maximises the volume of luggage space you can carry while still meeting the size restriction guidelines of most of the budget (and normal) airlines. (ie fits in their luggage cage!)
After my first bag I went back and bought 2 more for my 2 boys and they have served us very well on our last few trips.
More notes regarding the bag:
Its not the most comfortable bag to wear for long duration whilst fully packed but its only ever fully packed when we go on flights so its not that much of an issue.
It works perfectly well for everyday use, and comes with padded straps, and padding around the shoulder and lower back to make it comfortable to use, and also to allow air ciculation etc.
There are 3 zipped compartments.
Only the main compartment is lockable but its irrelevant if you use it only as hand luggage and not as check-in luggage.
Inside the secondary compartment there are lots of pockets, mesh pockets, and zipped compartments for all your bits and pieces.
The third compartment is just a zipped pocket for your bits and pieces.
OVERALL:
Stylish in a simple utilitarian way
Well made and very useful
Well priced
Brilliant for avoiding the extortionate airline charges (and queuing!)
