My boyfriend had been on over the counter Prilosec for two years. He started to get some side effects and was generally not feeling very well. I purchased the book "No more heartburn" stop the pain in 30 days naturally by Sherry Rogers. We are following her advice with a heathier diet (mainly avoid suger and processed foods) and various supplements. At the healthfood store I picked up Alka max for him to try and whenever he feels any heart burn coming on he takes one and the heartburn goes away fast. We are very impressed with the results and my boyfriend has not had to take prilosec for two weeks now and he feels much better.

I tried this stuff on the recommendation of a health food store employee and it really works. I have been able to cut down on the nexium almost completely.
