This cd is a surprise! For those who are constantly searching for different treatments of their favourite songs this is a must. The songs are treated in the style of the 20s and 30s music with excellent vocals and harmonies and very good arrangements.Try it,the price is inviting.

If you have twisted musical tastes... 1 Dec 2002
By A Customer - Published on
I haven't heard this album since 1977. A friend had a copy, and I've been looking for a copy of it for years. It has to be heard to be believed. The Templeton Twins (Tippy and Terry), backed by Teddy Turner and His Bunsen Burners, perform pop songs of the '60s and '70s in the style of the 1930s singers like Rudy Vallee.
"Light My Fire" is incredible.
Completely mental. 3 Dec 2002

If you're a warped type, this album is for you. The Templeton Twins, Tippy & Terry, backed by Teddy Turner and His Bunsen Burners, perform '70s songs in '30s style. Imagine hearing Rudy Vallee sing "Light My Fire" and you have the idea. The songs chosen are very funny, including Macarthur Park, Spinning Wheel, Yesterday and more.
If you like strange music, this belongs in your collection.

It's absolutely wonderful just love the thirties style rendition of these popular tunes from my era. First heard Macarthur Park on ABC FM Classical (Australia) and searched on Google hoping to find a copy; after some time eventually found on Amazon and have no hesitation in recommending this disc to like minded people.

This nutty album features hits of the 1960s performed in the style of 1930s singers like Rudy Vallee. It is credited to "The Templeton Twins" but is actually performed by Ted Templeman with his voice double tracked. It should be noted that while almost all of the album features cover versions of then recent hits, there is one original novelty song called "Ooh, Ooh Guru". Also, "Our Way" is actually "My Way" (get it?). This is a fun album if you like twisted versions of familiar songs.
