Book Description

21 Jan 2014 Trigun Maximum Omnibus (Book 2)
Vash the Stampede carries a gun capable of destroying planets, and yet his credo is "Peace and Love." But Vash never gets much peace with a galaxy of zealots and killers for hire dogging his every step. The freakish Gung Ho Guns are always hot on his boot heels, and a showdown with his brother Knives is a deadly inevitability - if Vash survives! Yasuhiro Nightow's Trigun is an international phenomenon, and Trigun Maximum Omnibus presents Nightow's signature Trigun series in value-priced editions of nearly 600 story pages!

5.0 out of 5 stars Deep space planet future gun action! 28 Feb 2014
By Grace
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
A fan of the Trigun and Trigun Maximum series for a while now, wanting to own it but not wanting to pay out for the 17(ish) books separately, this was spot on! Volume 2 covers books 4, 5, and 6 (Bottom of the Dark, Break Out, and Gunslinger). Vash, Wolfwood, Knives, Legato, Midvalley and Hoppered all do their usual thing, the Insurance girls get into trouble, and we get to meet Elendira. Again, the omake specials at the end of the books are included.

If you know Trigun then you don't need to read this. If you don't know Trigun, I recommend going back to the first series (just "Trigun", without the "Maximum") otherwise very little of this omnibus will make sense. Great action, great artwork, sometimes confusing in places, but a great ride.

4.0 out of 5 stars great book 14 Feb 2014
By Ned - Published on Amazon.com

Trigun / Trigun maximum is a great series for those looking for a sci-fi/western type of story. The artwork is good but it can be confusing with what is going on in the action scenes. If you are a fan of the anime and want more Trigun or a manga fan overall pick this up.
4.0 out of 5 stars Volume 2 delivers 28 Jun 2014

Book two follows up nicely to book one smoothly, although the fight scenes were a bit confusing. This volume introduces a new character not seen in the anime. Mainly because he's a man who dressed like a woman. The only part that I had a problem with was Meryl's uncharacteristic fear that she obtains at the end of the volume. It just seemed out of a place because of Meryl's personality is stronger than that in my opinion. In all, it's a great continuation book and I do recommend adding it to your collection.
