An overlooked gem 31 July 2003
Format:VHS Tape
With a cast featuring the likes of Gabriel Byrne, Jeff Goldblum and Richard Dreyfuss, its a wonder no one's heard of this film. With a bizarre quality one might expect from the Coen Brothers, this film races towards its climax with barely a line or moment wasted.

Everyone involved in this movie heads for a kind of grand guignol approach to their performances, but it pays off by creating a universe with its own rules and logic. Gabriel Byrne gets all the best lines, and Richard Dreyfuss is both ridiculous and terrifying as schizophrenic mob boss Vic. Jeff Golblum plays his usual startled-fish mannerisms to the best possible effect, and even the supporting cast bring a unique air to this comedy.

If there was ever a film that deserved cult status for its witty, tight script and superb performances, its Trigger Happy. Its a wonder they haven't given this a DVD treatment yet.

Format:VHS Tape
This film has some of the most entertaining characters I've ever seen, Gabriel Byrne just steals the show as Ben London and Richard Dreyfuss is superb as Vic. This is one of those films that's really hard to describe to someone else but oozes quality when you actually sit down and watch it. It's worth a look - you will be entertained :)

Right at the start of the movie it say "This movie have been optimized to fit your screen!". Well, with "fit" they mean it is 4:3 ratio and so it is a little pain to watch the movie on a 16:9 flat screen. I would not buy this DVD again...
