Product Description

The third and final soundtrack to the last of Dom Joly's guerrilla style comedy series, Trigger Happy TV 3 is another great selection of downbeat music from the show. Joly, (self confessed "good white indie boy") delves into his own personal record collection again and comes back with both some classic and surprising selections. There are some tracks from the late 80s / early 90s which are great to rediscover (Psychedelic Furs' "Love My Way" and Haircut 100's "Whistle Down The Wind" in particular). There are also great album tracks from the Dandy Warhols and Suede, while Eskobar's "On A Train" really stands out from the newer artists here. If you're looking for beautiful downbeat music Nick Drake's "Riverman" is hard to match while Fleetwood Mac's "Need Your Love So Bad" and the Beach Boys "God Only Knows" are all classics everyone should own. Most compilations have a tendency towards the predictable, but like the show itself that is certainly not the case here. Trigger Happy TV 3 sounds more like a mix tape from a friend than a marketing dream--fortunately for us Dom Joly certainly has taste. --Caroline Butler

After buying the DVD for Trigger Happy TV 3, I was astounded by the great selection of songs included on the soundtrack. This pushed me to buy the soundtrack, and I was not disappointed. Although most of the songs are not instantly recognisable by the title alone, once heard this makes a lovely chill-out album for easy listening.
A couple of points though... where is Gordon Lightfoot's 'If I Could Read Your Mind'? And more importantly, why leave out the beautifully melancholy song by Muse - 'Unintended' (from the album Showbiz) which actually made me buy their album just from that song alone?
I believe those songs would have made a huge difference to the album, which is why I give it 4 stars and not 5. But don't let this put you off - it's a great album if you love Trigger Happy TV. I strongly suggest you buy it today!

It is not as good as the two other previous soundtracks, but still a Don Jolly's fine choice of soundttrack music. If You have the other two albuns, You have to buy this one too because the price is getting higher and higher, there are no prevision of reissue and that's a must have trilogy, even if You are not a fan of the television show(or never watched it), that is an explendid compilation of early nineties music and comes from Don Jolly's personal CD/LP collection.

Good if you are wanting to feel really depressed. If not then probably best to give it as wide berth.

Must admit, it truly is a fantastic soundtrack and spoiled only by the omission of a classic song. I can't seem to track down the song which is sung just as Dom hops onto his moped and disappears leaving some bemused tourists just standing there. I think it was the Sherlock Holmes guided tour!!!
Apart from the omission of this song, the soundtrack is totally out of this world!!!!
Don't hesitate to buy!!!!
