This movie will probably scare away all ya straight dudes, but it reallt shouldn't, 'cause it's actually just a love story between two guys. Christian Campbell is just cute as the shy gay guy who gets more than he bargained for, and Tori Spelling is just as annoying as you've come to expect. Definitely a movie that makes you smile and believe in true love :o)

This is an enchanting gay romantic comedy and one of the best gay themed films I've seen. It follows one evening in the life of the two main characters Gabriel and Mark (played by the very gorgeous Christian Campbell and J.P.Peroc) as they search for somewhere to have what is initially intended as a one night stand. As the film progresses, a relationship begins to develop between the two and it becomes apparent that the one-night stand has the potential to be much more. The film sensitively explores themes of desire, longing, jealousy and commitment. The cast, especially Campbell, Peroc and Spelling are excellent. The film has a whimsical quality and is by turns funny, sad and moving. For any gay viewers feeling depressed by the scene, this will be the ideal tonic. Full marks, wonderful.

Firstly I have to say I really like Trick. I like the acting, the music, the story, the style of it, the loverly guys and I especially love Tori Spelling's rant in the cafe, I have a friend exactly like her character so it amuses me greatly. This is a fun film about two guys trying to find somewhere to have a one night stand but they end up falling for each other. Around this is a collection of interesting characters, from the bitchiest drag queen on film to the bimbo with aspirations of becoming a sex therapist, that enrich the film. But... (and it pains me to say this) the sound quality is abysmal. Why is such a modern film presented in poor quality mono that destroys the music in the film, and music is an integral part of Trick (buy the soundtrack and see). Whoever put this DVD together had a major off day. There are a couple of extras but nothing that you would kill your granny for. Here's hoping that this gets re-released with more care taken.

Firstly, I must say that I really enjoyed this film. It's easy to watch, the characters are lovable, if slightly stereotyped, and the soundtrack is nice.
It follows the night of a somewhat cheesy songwriter called Gabriel, who somehow manages to pull a gogo boy (JP Pitok) on a metro train (as you do). Throughout the movie they find it difficult to find somewhere to be 'alone', to amusing consequences.
This is clearly not the best film ever, although as a themed film, which are often depressing and heavy to watch, it offers a light hearted and cheeky look into the lives of a couple of good looking fellas, and the strange people they share their lives with.
Definately one to watch to cheer you up.

I did enjoy this film a lot and it has a feel-good ending which I always prefer! Cute writer Christian and even cuter go-go-boy John Paul make a good couple and there is definitely chemistry there - but it's all eye-contact - no hitting the sack! It's an evening of struggling to be alone with a supporting cast of crazy characters who are all wrapped up in their own lives at the expense of the boy's time alone together. There are some really funny moments in it - the attempts at living out a fantasy and having sex while playing the piano was hilarious - and the dialogue with the flatmates girlfriend was really funny. Lots more laugh out loud scenes too. And it's all terribly romantic as well as funny! You'll laugh and feel good when you see this film!

This is a will-they-wont-they story between a young struggling, aspiring musical writer and a handsome go-go-boy he meets in a gay bar. A good looking production, credible locations, and absolutely brilliant acting from all the cast produce a most enjoyable film. Easy on the eye, never awkward, with pockets of whimsical comic relief amongst the main story scenes. You'll finish the film wishing you had a fag-hag like Tori Spelling!!

This is the best gay themed movie ive ever seen!! It's sexy, it's funny, it's romantic and it's damn well made. It made me cry, laugh, dance and feel really good about being gay.
Trick is one of those movies that I can watch over and over again and never tire of it.
Hope you enjoy it as much as i did.

This is a good film for anyone regardless of sexual preference and will pull at the heart strings of all who watch it! It is wonderfully put together by Jim Fall, with none to shabby acting by Tori Spelling and Christian Campbell, which really makes the film and a great supporting cast makes this a must to see, if not to buy. Happy watching.
