Couldn't put it down, 5 Jan 2010

I should declare I know Nick - we were were at uni together. I heard he'd written a book and my wife gave it to me for Christmas present. I had no idea what to expect when I started reading it.
I finished it the same day - which is unknown for me. It's a real page turner.
I really liked it. In my younger pre-kids stage I read quite a few crime thrillers - John Harvey, Elmore Leonard, Robert Parker, Sara Paretsky and many others. This book is, in my humble opinion, up there with them.
It's pacy, intriguing, authentic, and soulful. What more can you ask for in a novel?
Brilliant stuff, well done.

A brilliant fast-paced crime thriller. I could not put this book down and it was one of my fastest reads ever. I nearly had to give up my job to finish it! A murder mystery set in a blues band. Oh what a tangled web we weave...!
