3.0 out of 5 stars bought it for my boyfriend 31 Jan 2004
By "pinzi"
Format:Audio CD
i bought this album for my boyfriend, he's a big mudvayne fan and i thought that this would be something he could ass to hsi collection,
apprentally the singer tries very hard to sound like lead singer KUd but cant at times hold the notes as well, but it's like all tribute albums its the same songs but they dont sound the same,
it's still something worth getting if your a fan, i would still buy it for him even if i knoew it wasn't completely amazing. i think the point of this type of album is to have fun really-it would be better if there was more than the one band playing the songs-perhpas some high priced acts in math metal but still it was interesting to listen to
not for somone who has just started to like mudvayne i think it's for the obsessed fan to be honest

wow - this is poor. A home recording featuring a programmed drum machine, tinny thin guitars, and a weak vocal. Well done, you can paly along to Mudvayne (except for the drums). Don't release a CD of it.
If you are considering it, listen to the MP3 samples. You'll soon decide to by the originals instead. What is worse is that the original albums are cheaper than this dross. Delete.

1.0 out of 5 stars Why even listen? 4 Dec 2003

This cd is horrible, it was funny to listen to them trying to imitate Mudvayne. The music is decent, but the vocals are horrible. When masterpieces are writen, don't try to copy them or do a tribute, just let them be.
1.0 out of 5 stars Just Awful 21 Nov 2004
By Ryguy - Published on Amazon.com

Being an avid fan of Mudvayne, I just enjoy all of Mudvayne's work. I happened to come across this CD right here on Amazon, I was curious and listened to each song, and by god, this really isn't a tribute, these guys just destroyed some of the songs, especially the ones that require heavy screaming with singing mixed in. Now I'm open to new things, but this is just as bad as that one classic singer who released all those metal covers, I saw it on VH1. But this tribute should have been done with VARIOUS artists, and ones who are used to belting out music like this. Now some of the songs that require singing, like (Per)version of the Truth, weren't completely ruined, but I listened to Cultivate, my favorite song from their very first album, and they completely destroyed and decimated the song to an extent of pure disbelief.

I haven't heard of United to Divide, and from what they sound like, they can definitely match the instrumental music of Mudvayne, but singing wise, they practically piss on the songs and expect people to pay for it. Just don't waste your money with this, luckily I didn't, just listen to the samples, they are enough to convince anyone.
1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't deserve 1 star 27 April 2004

I am a very big follower of Mudvayne and I thought a tribute to them would be alright.. I thought this CD had various artists which added potential. The music, if actually produced by United to Divide was not all that bad, but the singing?!?!? They were horrible. Part of Mudvayne's greatness is that the music is so amped that when the vocals begin it explodes with heartfelt metal. Not so with United to Divide, they either tried to hard or not hard enough. I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this CD, now I am ashamed to even put it next to my Mudvayne CDs.
2.0 out of 5 stars I HATE THESE TRIBUTE CD'S 4 Dec 2006
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com

ok so U guys have to admit...if these guys made songs of their own and were a band of their own they won't be that bad....Imagine them makin a band of their own...they really won't be that bad...that's why I gave 2 stars instead of 1....but NOBODY CAN REPLACE THE REAL MUDVAYNE, and mudvayne is one of my favorite bands....doin a one cover song is okay...but omg they sound nothing like mudvayne and they just kill the songs....as far as tryin to sound like mudvayne goes this band sux but they DO have the talent to make their own stuff tho....and they don't put LD50 songs on here either (one guy said that earlier but I agree with him tho) so yea this CD is just pure crap....this band should make an album of their own tho...they really should
