3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better 1 Aug 2004
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
Wanting to be a body artist myself, I bought this book under the impression it would help teach me how to draw tribal tattoo's. I am quite dissappointed by the standards of the book, as I was expecting a lot of drawn pictures and more tips on how to actually draw them. This book however is more to do with tribes and the history of why we have tribal tattoos, rather than the modern day tribal we all know and love.
However I have given this book a rating of 3 out of 5, purely because although it wasnt exactly what I was expecting, Im sure someone else would find the history and the pictures more interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting book 1 Jun 2004
By ulcerative - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
It's light in information, but interesting nonetheless. It has black and white drawings of various tribal tattoos. It also seperates them into sections (by tribes) and gives basic information on each tribe, along with a basic overview of Tattoos in general.

I bought the version with the body paints, which I wouldn't suggest. It's awfully gimicy.

This book is very informative as to the history of tribal tattoos. If you want to have a tribal tattoo and actually want to be able to tell people what it means, this is the book for you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Written by a kid? 23 Sep 2008
By Eddie Scheidler - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
What a joke this book is. You can find all of the designs on the internet for free! They are very basic, and there are only a few examples for the tribes they list. They don't even get specific with any of the tribes, they just use "South American Tribes, European Tribes, African Tribes," etc... It's all just very basic info, so beginner that you can find it all online for free with no problem. DON'T BUY. Trust me.
