Excellent: THE bible of the subject!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Triang Hornby: 1950-65 v. 1: Rovex Story (Hardcover)
If you are looking for a reference on the subject of Tri-ang Railways, then PLEASE LOOK NO FURTHER!! Mr Hammond has researched the history and products of Tri-ang railways thoroughly and the finished article makes an excellent reference manual. This wonderfully colourful, 432p book gives a glorious insight into the history and development of the Tri-ang Railways system. The author guides the reader through the history of the company from 1955 to 1965, and then provides an excellent 8 chapters of detail of the railways models themselves. This includes components, sets, locomotives and rolling stock. The final chapter giving an excellent summary of the associated models that could be integrated with the Tri-ang Railways range. Included in this section are Minic Motorways, Tri-ang TT and and Model Land Products. The detail of this book allows the enthusiast to pin-point the date of a particular model to the exact year of manufacture, such is the detail. Just FANTASTIC!!!
