3.0 out of 5 stars keeps it dry 15 April 2011
By Mos
Verified Purchase
Just purchased this so I could read in the bath and take on holiday. Firstly it is totally waterproof. The down points for me are that there is a bit of glare from the plastic and it is too difficult to switch the on/off button.

Having said that, the product is fit for purpose, and I can definately read in the bath without worrying about getting water on my kindle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Item 15 April 2011
By Lizb
I bought this as I love nothing more than spending a couple of hours or more soaking in the bath with a good book. I have now used this waterproof case several times in the bath, and only have positive things to say from my own use. The bag is double sealed, folded over and then the press-studs over the top, this provides an excellant seal at the top of the bog. The screen is easy to read through the clear bag, the on/off button and keyboard works as normal - though you do have to push the kindle up slightly to get to the on/off button due to the seam at the bottom of the bag. I havent used the speech format whilst in the waterproof case so i dont know how that works. The case also folds up quite small and fits in the pocket of my main kindle case Belkin Pleated Neoprene Kindle Sleeve (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle) Black/White so i have always got the waterproof cover with me whereever i go - essential when i go on holiday.

I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this anyone who enjoys reading a book in the bath or on the beach, it is certainly worth its money

5.0 out of 5 stars Kindle waterproof cover 29 Mar 2011
By Sue
Utterly brilliant! You could go swimming with this - completely watertight and a great buy. It arrived long before promised and will protect my Kindle on the beach.

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money 13 May 2012
Save your money & buy a plastic bag. All these bags look the same regardless of price, presumably from the same supplier in China but this is the most expensive. The bag has a double zip lock and a fold-over press-studded flap. It's made of heavy plastic which in use makes the kindle very difficult to switch on & off as noted by other reviewers. Because of the heavy plastic (which feels like quality but creates a problem) it's quiet difficult to get the kindle in and out of the bag, coupled with having to pull at the double zip lock to open it (naturally) results within a dozen or so uses in the bag splitting at the side of the ziplock where it's just heat welded. Because of the foldover, the bag is still probably usable if you want to take the risk. Now the foldover ziplock section has split on the fold along the length of the ziplock and the front half has fallen off altogether. It needs a zipper on the ziplock to stop you having to force the ziplock open, and less brittle plastic to stop it from splitting. Probably an infeasible ask. Save your money & tie it up in a plastic bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fab item 16 July 2011
I bought this mainly for reading in the bath and I was concerned whether my kindle would slip out of my hands without a waterproof cover. Now I always take my kindle into the bath without worrying and the case is perfect. It has a double seal which folds over and then poppers for additional security. It is best to slide the kindle up slightly to switch it on as it rests on the seam otherwise. I would highly recommend this item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin 19 Jun 2011
By j0b1rd
Considering this was dispatched from Boston, USA I was surprised at how quickly it arrived - less than a week. This case is of sturdy material that you can still operate your Kindle buttons through. The only awkward bit is sliding the on/off switch but it's just a case of mastering the right technique. The opening has double 'press shut' strips and folds twice to ensure it is watertight. I think I could trust it to keep my Kindle dry if i were to drop it in a pool, for instance. It's ideal for use on holiday - on the beach etc.
Plus! It came in a little A5 size zip up wallet which, I find, doubles up as another handie Kindle cover when it doesn't need so much protection. Bonus!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not built to last! 12 Sep 2011
I bought this as I love to read in the bath, and I love baths... The seal along the side came apart before it was even 5 months old!!! I would have thought I would have gotten a bit more life out of it than 4 1/2 months!!! It was also expensive!!! All in all I wouldn't recommend it.
