The producers have sourced much of the material from DD Video and thus the interviews with "survivors of both sides" are the same as those included in the excellent box set of the BBC series "The Great War" World War 1 : The Great War - Complete BBC Series (7 Disc Box Set) [DVD].
It also appears that many scenes are repeated time and again throughout the three disks. I expected "new" footage and interviews and was thus very disappointed. The serious student of this period should rather purchase the BBC series which even though it is somewhat "dated" is still by far the best set of DVD's covering World War One.

I entirely agree with the other reviewer. If you have the "Great War" dvd set, you'll kick yourself for buying this. Repetative, derivative and sometimes the soundtrack is so noisy, it drowns out any commentary. Avoid.
