Product Description

These superb trekking poles are made from a super-lightweight aluminium alloy and weigh just 240g per pole.

They feature soft & comfortable EVA moulded handles with adjustable neoprene-padded wrist straps.

With four compact sections, they can be fully extended from just 55cm up to 136cm, to suit your height and the gradient. This also means they telescope neatly away when not in use, fitting inside many rucsacs, suitcases, sports bags and hand luggage.
They have removable snow baskets, which can be attached near the base of the pole, designed to prevent sinkage in soft ground or snow. At the end of each pole there is a sturdy, hard tungsten alloy trekking tip for mountain use, and a removable rubber ferule for easy ground.
Colour: Black.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding value 3 Dec 2011
Excellent product for the price. Not particularly light but fold small for travel.
Used them for the first time in very slippery muddy conditions - prevented many messy slips!
Find out how to use them effectively (good websites) - they make a great difference on hills - up and down! They will come apart if you pull the sections too far but this is easily fixed.

5.0 out of 5 stars compact and easy to use 4 Sep 2012

I found these excellent, I see a previous reviewer managed to bend one but as we used these poles for hill walking and hiking rather than climbing (so the weight is always down the shaft) we found them quite strong enough. They fix in length very well - no sudden collapse of the locking mechanism and fit in luggage easily. I thought them light in weight for what they are (and the price). Those with large hands might find that the hand grips are not long enough for them.

2.0 out of 5 stars Broke on its first use 10 July 2012

I bought these compact poles so that they would fit INSIDE by pack as I was going on a ridge walk and wanted to minimise the kit etc on the outside,,I had to use them on a descent over scree, the poles were not fully extended but on placing it on to a rock, the bottom (thinnest section) buckled,,,this was not on a particulary steep section and under nothing like excessive weight. Really not happy as had to continue a tricky descent with my one remaining pole!

I like these because they fold down to a very small lenght fitting in my rucksack or suite case easily. A little heavier than expensive ones.

They seem to work fine though might be a problem if you are heavy or clumsy (this applies to most of these aids). Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Went in my hand baggage, just.
I enjoy walking and travel 'light'. Bought these as at 55cm they are OK for cabin baggage on a plane - but check what will fit in your bag first. Read more

Bought these to use rough walking and they were great. The four sections make these very compact and easy to pack. Easy to adjust and the locking mechanism is firm. Read more
