I used this hammock regularly for a year back/bikepacking through Oz, NZ and USA. I didn't jump, when a large spider interrupted my slumber, outside Adelaide, as was the feeling of confinement within this nicely sized hammock. I rarely pitched it between trees (comfy for an hour or two, but not a whole night), but with a really stretchy and tough bungy cord routing through either side of the mosquito net, I was able to lay it out as a tent inner. Without trees/bushes to attach, it was a challenge, but that added to the lark. It was durable (NZ bush!), with one hole at one of the bug-net latches my only trouble. I recommend for the price, though for ultralight backpackers, perhaps a dedicated nest such as the Golite LA1 (450g vs 650g) would suit better.
