Most Helpful Customer Reviews

Format: Paperback
Excellent. Unlike some of the guides in the Cicerone series, this book is clear and helpful. It gives a good overview of the region, the different huts, distances between them and levels of difficulty for walkers of different abilities. It includes some lovely circular multi-day walks and also information on public transport. The kit list is excellent, as is the general information. It gives a helpful guide to the different refuges and could be used by experienced walkers or families planning their first Alpine venture. My only suggestion would be to use it in conjunction with a 1:50000 or 1:25000 map as the maps in the book are just sketches.
