The SatCorder neptune Full-HD 1080i can also function as a video recorder when connected to an external mass storage device like a hard disk or USB stick.With external storage device the SatCorder becomes a video recorder. The satellite receiver supports the display and recording of programmes in optimum HD quality. This means that viewers can enjoy exceptional quality and clarity, with a picture resolution that is as much as five times more detailed than that provided by the old PAL standard.
Television fans can build up a massive archive of their favourite films and television series by using several data storage devices, like hard disks or USB sticks, which can be connected via the USB 2.0 interface of the SatCorder neptune Full-HD 1080i. It is even possible to record a programme using the satellite receiver while simultaneously watching a previously stored recording.The SatCorder neptune can play back films in the video standards MPEG-2 (TRP, DVD-IFO) and MPEG-4 (AVC, H.264, XviD) as well as the Dolby Digital (via bitstream output) and MP3 audio formats, when stored on an external storage device connected via USB 2.0.
