Optimum memory expansion
The DataStation maxi nu is the perfect solution for daily backup or the memory expansion of your PC. The external 3.5" hard disk offers enough space to store and archive your music and video collection, digital photos or other files.

Quick and easy to use
The Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connection provides the DataStation maxi nu with fast data transfer. The hard drive is already pre-formatted therefore it is immediately operable without a driver. It supports all popular file systems such as Windows, Linux and Mac OS X ®, and the operating systems Microsoft Windows 2000 / XP / Vista ® Mac OS X 10.3 and Linux kernel 2.6.x. The hard drive is supplied with an external power supply, and due to the design of the hard drive enclosure, there is very low power consumption.

Exclusive aluminium housing
The exclusive aluminium housing of the DataStation maxi n.u ensures the optimum cooling of the disk, the external drive has no fan and is therefore silent during operation.

Including Nero software BackItUp2 Essentials
To complete the package, also included with the hard disk is the Nero software. Nero Essentials BackItUp2 can simply back up your data, allowing individual files or whole drives to be secured. The back up software automatically compresses the data (without cache) to maximise the use of storage space. It can also be password protected, for an extra level of security.

Brought a TrekStor DataStation maxi n.u a 3.5" External Hard Drive. 160GB SATA - USB 2 a few days ago.

I must say that i am very impressed by it,yes it is a little noisy but this is only @ start up. Once it is on there is no problem

It is a lot smaller than it looks in the picture.

well worth buying
@ leat �20 cheaper than pc world

The hard drive does the job well and is incredibly easy to use, it's also worth mentioning that it's not as big as it looks in the image. However, it is very noisy; but equally, it is very cheap. But while switched on and ejected or not connected via USB it does power down the disk so it's silent and isn't wasting much electricity.

Great if you need a quick, simple external hard drive to add to your collection. If I was buying my first external hard drive I'd probably look for something else.

I bought this a week ago & am delighted. Noisy? I must be going deaf because rock bands are noisy, this is just enough to let you know that it is operating. Good size, easy to install even for a non computer geek!
