His first two albums are the best. As he has aged his voice has coarsened. However there is some really uplifting stuff here along with the sickly sweet Who Was It which is barely listenable. I know he loves his family life but there's a big wide world to write about. The instrumentation remains pretty good with some lovely touches. One Autumn Afternoon and No School Today are executed with grace and skill. However I would advise getting his other albums first.

Always been a huge fan of Dean's ever since I was a kid but this effort has 'Written, recorded and produced at home, with nothing much to write about' written all over it. Dean has a great voice and the musicianship is great, but lyrically, I fear he's lost it.
