I've read plenty of self-help books, but they don't really guide you by the hand like this one. It starts off with some questionnaires to fill in, which show you whether you might have nutritional deficiencies or food allergies. It then explains how to test yourself for food allergies, which are very often the cause of common problems like migraine, IBS, skin rashes or fatigue. The foods responsible for these symptoms tend to be wheat, dairy products and a few others. Sugar can cause hormone disruptions leading to polycystic ovary syndrome or metabolic syndrome. The rest of the book is an amazing set of recipes which allows you to eat pretty well even while avoiding the foods which were making you ill. I've seen plenty of wheat and dairy free cookbooks, but none as healthy as this one, and some of the recipes are fantastic. I use this book all the time to prevent my headaches, which I used to get several times a week. I recommend it to everyone as it can save you having to consult a professional.
