I bought this for my wife. It came from the USA and it arrived well within the time period for delivery. How odd to think that I ordered it from my PC and it came all the way over the Atlantic Ocean in a packet!
The condition of the book was as new. It may have been with someone else or sitting in a heap somewhere for a while, but it didn't look like it.
I didn't know if I would have to pay any extra duties on it as it cost more than £18, but the price I paid as advertised on Amazon was inclusive. The official sites about importing items and customs duties don't seem all that helpful when it comes to finding out if there are other duties to pay.
The content of the book has been useful and my wife has already knitted-up some items using the directions. The photos inside are in black and white, quite clear, and about 3 to each page. There are pages and pages of them with the instructions on how to do it.
If you're buying it for someone else who knits they may already have a range of patterns with their stash of wool, machines, needles and other assorted paraphernalia of the addicted knitter, so it would be wise to check first if you're considering this for a present.
Having said all that it does have lots and lots and lots of patterns and I suppose the value is in having it all together; published by the Schoolhouse Press it is authoritative.
