This collection contains works of some of the great writers in the long tradition of 'Jewish' primarily Hebrew poetry. It has selections from the great source of all Jewish Literature, the Bible. It has poems by the greatest of Jewish Medieval Poets Yehuda Halevi. It has selections from modern Yiddish writers like Sutzkever and Molodowsky. It gives considerable place to the great reviver of Hebrew poetry Bialik. It does not however deal in any considerable extent with the very large body of Poetry which has been created in the Hebrew language in the past century.
This is a small non- scholarly selection but one in which there is much to enjoy.
