5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing! A beautiful thing to own. 2 Jun 2010
I think you have to see this to understand it, it's not really just a book - it is something you will HAVE to own if you are a fan. The cover is great (led zeppelin is written in black felt) and inside are loads of pull-out stuff like a HUGE Knebworth poster from 1979, and a signed programme from 1973...It doesn't try and be a definitive guide, it's just a beautiful thing to own!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Truly Exciting Read 4 Nov 2011
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I was browsing through the books about Led Zeppelin and came across this little number. I took a good look at the product on the amazon web site and other web sites to make sure it was a good purchase, read the reviews which were all good, so i clicked buy.

I got to admit i was so excited waiting for the book to come, being a Zeppelin nut the tension was killing me! And boy it was worth the wait!

The book is so good. Its not as detailed as a proper biography but it is detailed none the less. For what it lacks in detail it makes up in tones with rare pictures, gig posters, ticket stubs ect. I don't want to give too much away because it'll spoil the surprise of reading it yourself!

Shed all fears about debating whether or not you should buy this book and just get it! You will not regret it and i think all Led Zeppelin nuts will love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars a must own for Zeppelin fans 3 Jan 2011
this is a beautiful book, more of a short/quick guide to zeppelin down through the years and goes through each album and its public success with stories, facsimile documents and memorabilia of concerts and full size posters, replica ticket stubs, gig flyers etc etc some rare pictures too, just a great over all book and something every led zeppelin fan should own.

3.0 out of 5 stars Distinctly Average 25 Oct 2012
I'm giving this a three star, middle of the road review, as my personal opinion is that its not so great as to warrant a five star review, but neither is it so bad to get a one.

As a massive Led Zep fan I fell over myself to get to this in the shop and looking at the back cover really thought this was going to be something out of this world.

I was sadly let down.

The book itself is ok in terms of content, but nothing that isn't covered already in many biography books at much cheaper prices. So I would think that many people, like myself, would be looking to by this for the 'facsimiles of rare memorabilia' it comes with. This is where I really felt let down, as the items just look really cheap and shoddy. I really wanted to frame some these items, but they'd just look rubbish on my wall.

That said, it is an alright collection, but absolutely not for the cover price of 25.00. I managed to pick up a brand new copy for 12.99, so I can't complain too much. But I would definitely urge buyers to either peruse a copy before buying or to make sure you don't pay the cover price for it.

This could have been such an amazing product, but its just distinctly average.

1.0 out of 5 stars Deception 1 Jun 2010
What a deception! Chris Welch is not nobody. He's a great Led Zeppelin specialist. But this big book is empty! Fac simile are without interest. Fery few, very poor quality, very poor choice of documents. Very dispensable.
