5.0 out of 5 stars Well written and thought provoking!, 24 Oct 2007

(REAL NAME)
The best book I've read on traditional witchcraft. The author writes in a practical down to earth style (it gives you the feeling that he's reading it to you) that is easy to read and understand, it pulls no punches and he's witty to boot. This was important reading for me, coming from a region steeped in these traditions. READ THIS BOOK!

Coming from a taoist back ground it's amazing how similar the practices are. It's spurred me on to learn and study the traditions of the place I was born.

The practical craft exercises are wonderful. I loved the visualisation for finding the directions, wonderful. As for the powerful experiences to be had in chapter entering the twilyte, I shall say no, more buy and exerience for yourseleves.

I thank the author and can't wait until his next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars inspirational, 11 Nov 2007
A truely inspirational book, written by a wonderful down to earth person. This book is full of traditional knowledge that is hard to come by, and crammed full of wonderful recipes and spells to enhance all aspects of your life and home. I would reccomend it to everyone whatever their path.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and informative, 26 Feb 2009
I found this book to be well written and engaging and thankfully free of the Ye Olde stuff that can all to often plagues books on witchcraft. A real boot and braces book clearly written by someone who has gone out there and done the magic that he talks about. This book is clearly focused one particular tradition of traditional British Witchcraft and as such could be used as a course by someone wishing to learn that tradition. I particularly found the fetch lore very interesting and informative and am very much looking forward to his next book.
I echo much of what has been said by the other reviewers this is a must read for anyone interested in traditional witchcraft as practiced in Britain.
