Amazon Verified Purchase
I have burnt two discs thus far with no problems. I examined each disc visually and the die seems to be in good order. Due to the other review I tried two firmwares with my LG GGW-H20L Drive

Burn Details:

GGW-H20L YL04
Nero 8
22,472 MB Data UDF
4x speed selected.
Burn Time: 00:55:20
6,931 KB/s

GGW-H20L YL05
Nero 8
22,699 MB Data UDF
4x speed selected.
Burn Time: 00:55:24
6,992 KB/s

Neither firmware hit 4x speed of 17,980KB/s. There is not a lot in it between the two Firmwares.

Additional Comments:

Drive: LG GGW-H20L YL05
Printer: Epson PhotoStylus 950
Software: Nero 8

I have now used seven of the ten discs from the first batch I have bought. All burned correctly and verified. Print quality of the surface is good too. There is a speed issue though as noted by another reviewer. The drive burns BD-R at 6x. The discs are rated at 4x. Nero 8 offers 2x or 4x burning rate. However a full disc of multiple data files (burnt as UDF data disc) only hit a maximum speed of 1.6x and stayed mostly at 1.5x. This means a burn time of approximately 55-60 minutes for a disc.

I have bought a second set though as they are reliable. No costers.

UPDATE:

AVOID THESE DISCS...

After reading another review about unreadable discs after a year has passed since burning I checked my year old discs. Out of 10 discs 4 are no longer readable, 100 Gig of data gone!!! As it happens I was using these as a backup for some DVD-R (which are even older). I still have the DVD-Rs and they are still readable. So I can reacreate them. Was about to order my third tub, but not now, shall look elsewhere...

Bad discs 9 Feb 2010
I bought over 100 of these discs at the beginning of last year and found only a about 9 wouldn't write in my LG writer, but would in my Sony. But having gone back to the discs a few months later found that many of them are now unreadable (around 43 at last count). I'd steer clear of this brand as they seem to have a very high failure rate and are just a waste of money. I've since switched to another brand (Pidata)and have had no issues with the new ones at all, every disc has written perfectly in both my writers and so far 1 year down the line all the new brand discs still play back fine whereas the Traxdata discs just keep getting worse and worse.

Discs burnt lovely, played well, but after just a few playings become corrupted. Disappointed - an expensive waste of money and messed up an important filme premmiere for us :-(
