About the Author
Christopher Daniell is the author of the very successful A Travellerís History of England which has a strong international readership. For twenty-five years he lived and worked in York and was the editor of the journal of the York Archaeological Trust. He was a committee member of the Yorkshire Architectural and York Archaeological Society, The Rowntree Society and is currently an Honorary Visiting Fellow in the Centre for Medieval Studies (University of York).
