Purchased this recently and used it on a day long walk up on Kinder Scout. I was a bit worried incase it didn't work as it was the only water source we took with us for the whole day. Needn't have worried it worked fine. We used the river at the bottom of Jacobs Ladder to fill up and during the day we topped up the Travel Tap whenever the need arose.
My wife was a little bit dubious at first but after the first taste her confidence grew. The water was clean and free from any funny tastes, we had no after affects so I can only give this product a thumbs up.
The bottle had to be squeezed to get a good flow going but not to the point of it being hard to do.
Good product, not bad value and I would recommend it. Nothing worse than going on a long walk and having to carry bottles and bottles of water with with you. Providing there is a water source all you need it this Travel Tap.

I have now used this bottle on 2 occasions, and was sick with diarrhoea/ vomiting every time. I did use clear and clean looking river water both times, there were no obvious particles in the water to clog up the filter, and nothing to suggest that the water was particularly contaminated (and even if it had been - according to the filter description it should not have been an issue!). I was the only one in the family using the bottle, and the only one affected - so no other likely cause for the symptoms. I really was hoping for an easy solution to the drinking water problem on longer walks, but this is not it for me - in future I will go back to carrying my supply again. May be a little more weight, but at least I won't have to cut my trip short again.

bought their travel and was pretty fed up to find that after squeezing the bottle to empty...it still had quite a lot of water in it that could not get out.it seemed we only get use of 2 thirds of the water.....not very clever
