5.0 out of 5 stars Updating the outdated attachment theories available, 8 Sep 2005
By A Customer
I came across this book in my university library under 'childcare!' yes its very relevant to childcare but should also be included in the pschology section. I used it extensively to compliment the existing theories that exist about attachment by authors such as Bowlby which has little relevance to todays world, however valid his research is.
There seemed to be so few books which explained more recent developments and this book brought together much of the research available setting it into appropriate context and discussed in clear language.
I would recommend this book to students and parents alike, its clear and no nonsense style makes it essential reading
