Great EP..., 15 Jun 2005

Children Of Bodom releases their new brand EP "Trashed, Lost & Strungout", with two new COB songs, the usual covers, two in this case, and a video.
The two COB songs somehow continue with what was left in "Hatecrew dethroll", COB's previous effort. Both very powerful and catchy, in which you can notice that Alexi Laiho tried to take his songwriting one level higher.
The two covers, Bed of Nails, and She is Beautiful. Two great covers, that capture the vibe of the original versions, especially "She is beautiful", that is probably one of best covers ever recorded by COB, very festive and funny, and showing the band's sense of humour.
Anyway, if you're a Bodom fan, you should buy this EP!

It has the COB feel to it but definately not one of their best. The video clip of them wandering around drunk is pretty amuzing though especially if you've had a few yourself :) Overall if you're a true Children of Bodom fan you might be slightly disappointed although they still have talent.

At first I was a little hesitant aout shelling out 8 bucks for a cd with only 4 songs on it, but lemme tell you these songs are great. Trashed, Lost, and Strungout starts out with a killer guitar intro and then turns into a breackneck fast song. Knuckleduster is my favorite song on here, it's just got everything a great song needs. Bed of Nails was an interesting choice for a cover but its good none the less, and finally we have She Is Beautiful by Andrew W.K., this shows the more upbeat side of C.O.B. and they did the song great. The extra stuff is nothing great, the video for TLaSO is good and the 20 minute documentary of the band is very funny at parts (when Alexi sprays himself in the eye). All in all this is definately a must have for any C.O.B. fan but it's also a great starting place for someone who hasn't heard any of their other stuff.
