Unbelievable. Watching "Trapped in the Closet" for the first time felt a little bit like watching "This is Spinal Tap" or "Withnail and I" for the first time - a feeling that I had just witnessed a piece of movie genius, and one that very few other people know about. This is without doubt one of the funniest movies ever made, with its hilarious plot, dreadful dialogue and woeful acting. I can't recommend it highly enough. It doesn't matter if you don't like R&B - personally I can't stand it. But everything else more than makes up for it. I cried with laughter.

Either R. Kelly is insane, or he is a comedic genius, possibly a little of both. I say this because having watched this 3 times, and also watched his commentary (which is just as funny as the actual movie, an example "I'm not saying this has happened to me but it's real life and I thought I'd just take a few chapters from life" this about a story involving a mdiget and him pulling his gun out everywhere!!!!) and whilst i am still not bored of it I cannot decide whether he's just playing it straight but knows how funny this is or whether he's honestly serious about this frankly so terrible its funny movie. You wont be disappointed unless you are looking for serious hiphop, just watch it for the comedy, invite some mates round to join you for added amusement, and then discuss how off-the-hook R. Kelly's mind really is.

Sublime? 23 July 2007
Format:DVD
Is it genius? Or the fumblings of a half-wit? Either way R.Kelly has produced some of the funniest moments in a video since Wierd Al. Definately worth the £4.97.

Genius
This sums up the past 20 years for me. This film is absolute genius. Take bits of Jeremy Kyle and Jerry Springer, mix with a bit of satire, poking fun at modern R+B. R. Read more

not worth the money
the humour in this story is good however it all becomes a bit too over the top and that makes it loose any form of realism it once had. Read more
