If you have ever used a Haynes manual for any car project they are pretty thorough. Dont expect that with this book.
You can get an idea of some basics but for some parts of the camper they just dont give enough detail. e.g. Removing the engine cover basically says remove four screws and put some oil on them. In fact there is a rather complicated thing that holds the boot lid open that has fallen apart on mine and I wanted to see how it worked. There are no pictures and just those few words about this part. The book is therefore pretty useless to me. For other things there is a little more detail but not much. It looks like they really have not tried. It also looks like the pictures were photcopied from some already poor copies. They are often o bad you cant see what the text is referring to.

In this day and age, most aircooled vee dubs need more than a coat of wax, an oil change, and a brake job. This book covers the very limited number of details regarding the issues with the early transporter, non-the-less its got some specs and other details that may come in handy when you need them.
