Amazon.co.uk Review

Are you terrified by change? Many of us are. Change can often be unnerving and difficult to accept. However, it is inevitable as it is the constant of life. We are being moved forward at all times and in all places. In order to live our lives to the full, in the here and now, it is essential we learn to accept change. Instead of seeing it as a burden or something to be feared, we need to view it as a source of enormous growth and potential. Julia Cameron is an artist and the bestselling author of The Artist's Way and The Vein of Gold. In her new book Transitions she has compiled a collection of simple prayers and affirmations she wrote for her own use and support to teach us how to embrace change. Cameron covers all types of change from birth and death to the break up of a relationship and the loss of a job.

The book is intended as a companion to help at times of crisis and transformation. Clearly laid out, each affirmation is prefaced by a provocative and searching quote. These quotes are taken from a diverse range of inspirational figures such as Shelley, Norman Mailer, Walt Whitman and Wordsworth. Cameron's advice is sound and her affirmations simple yet effective. This is the ideal book for anyone experiencing a difficult life stage as it helps you to learn how to meet change head-on and love all it brings. --Meg Slyfield

This book is an inspirational gem. I read an entry first thing in the morning, last thing at night and sometimes during the day. I can honestly say it is one of the most helpful books I have ever read. There is a nugget of wisdom in every entry. I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who is going through any kind of change in their life.
