I frequently recommend this book to clients who are interested in EMDR. It is very readable and conveys some of the power of EMDR. I find it more client friendly than the Shapiro books which are also good.

I found this book extremely helpful. I was new to the EMDR approach and believe this book to be an honest overview of the subject. It details actual case notes from subjects undergoing the therapy and provides realistic ideas of lengths of therapy, success rates and who the therapy could be suitable for. It also provides important suggestions for finding yourself an EMDR therapist.
