Transformers: War for Cybertron

The multiplayer action in this game is immense.

There are 4 classes: Leader (big guns and buffs), Scientist (the medic with a turret, only class that becomes a jet), Scout (sniper/cloaker with a shotgun) and Soldier (not played it much but it seems to be melee offense and good mix of weapons, and becomes a tank). Each class has 2 weapons (your choice from 4 or 5), 2 specials, their vehicle form, different abilities to choose as you unlock them

You've got your standard DM, TDM, Conquest which is great fun, then some Co-Op options. I'm not a transformers fan boy, watched the cartoon as a kid and was looking for something to replace Team Fortress 2 and this is definitely it.

You level up online to unlock new abilities, weapons always stay the same to keep it balanced. TDM can be a bit of a mission finding the enemy at times, but with conquest when you know where they're going (same control points as you) it's more frantic than anything I've seen in Team Fortress 2.

I bought this on a bored whim expecting it to be so so and am very impressed. Check out some official reviews if you're on the bench, it even makes someone as unsociable as me want to find others to Co-Op the story with, and that's saying something

Being a big transformers fan, I thought I'd take the plunge and give this a go. Having seen a couple video previews and demo its looked quite good. The game takes a while to install and the minimum specs are quite demanding for any PC but let me tell you, it is so worth it, even on low detail.

Loads of characters to choose from, spanning both sides. Great campaign/story mode if somewhat repetitive at times. They even make use of the car/plane mode for driving sequences across Cybertron's massive speedways which is also good fun.

Different AI units make the game a constant challenge having to adapt your combat style accordingly and addition of car/plane mode adds more firepower and speed. I would say this game is great fun and after you have finished the campaigns moving on to escalation mode (online) is so much fun.

My only two comments about the game are that ammo runs out way too quickly and you will constantly find yourself scrambling weaponless to find some ammo bays to reload, as well as not very many weapons to choose from and only being limited to one melee move instead of being able to do combos which would have been such a great feature.

Other than that I would say they have done it! Its a really good game worthy of the transformers name-tag.

transformers war for cybertron is overall a brilliant game the controlls are not that hard to learn or get the hang of.Even though i am not a big transformers fan myself i was still addicted to this game i could'nt come off it.

CAMPAIGN
The campaign is quiet good definatly not bad you can also play as autobots or decepticons the story is based berfore the well know movies it is based before that.it is based on there home planet cyberton , you get to pick from a couple of characters at the begin of eache level.sometimes you start with two weapons or one it deppends , you can pick up weapons , health and ammo on your way through the levels and multiplayer

MULTIPLAYER
multiplayer is the best thing about the game , although it is realy hard to kill poeple at first i suggest being a scout.
there are four classes :scout-the scout is my fovorite class because i find it a bit hard to get alot of kills the scout is usefull because you can tearn invisible for a peariod of time so that way you can sneak up on the enemy either when when there fighting one of you teamates or just running around its really cool to be able to do that
as a scout your veichle is a fast car with machine guns [i suggest to use a scatter blaster + a sniper or a pistol blaster witch is just a sniper but less good :scientist the scientist is my least farorite because even though you can transfom into a jet with lock on missiles [ they only sometimes lock on ]i can bearly get a single kill the weapons for it are rubbish [ i suggest using the two machine guns ] :leader the leader is my second favorite class you transform into a truck with rokets it is a very good class [ i suggest using a pistol blastor + fushion cannon ]
it is very good for melee attacks :soilder again the weapons are alright it transforms into a hover tank[ i suggest using a machine gun + rocket thing there are 6 games 1.deathmatch 2.teamdeath macth 3.power struggle 4.conquest 5.code of power 6.countdown to extinction

overall it is a very good game i suggest getting it and even though we got top computer this year[2010] with very high system requirments 2.6 ghz hardrive it only needs 1.8 or 2.0 ghz i still had to to put the graphics on low because it is exstemly hard to play if it is very jumps although if you put the graphics down it is fine
