This volume is very much a mixed bag of peaks and troughs, here goes...
The fan favourite 'Last Stand Of The Wreckers' is brilliant and is well worth the price alone. The animation is great, the story is gripping, interesting, full of plot twists and very action packed. It also manages to use established characters and lesser known ones to great effect. Giving Overlord the type of personality he has is a masterstroke and is something quite new to the series. This is also the most violent Transformers comic I can remember as well. This about as good as it gets however...
For All Mankind...is ok. Not brilliant, not especially terrible, but pretty mediocre and features WAY too much of the dull human characters and the obnoxious Spike Witwicky. The much criticised animation (which falls between typical G1 and the 'skeletal' style in Michael Bay Films) was harshly criticised by fans, but in all honesty, it isn't that bad. Ok. It's all down hill from here...
The Bumblebee storyline is very weak and not very appealing as older reader. It harkens back to the original US comics and is quite childish in set up and pretty dull, it's basically Bumblebee talking to a young girl and feeling guilty about tricking her...yes that's the jist of it! The animation isn't the worst I've seen from the IDW Transformers universe but certainly isn't the best either.
The problems persist in this volume with the weak and confusing; Prowl Spotlight. Prowl has in this run, the old comics and even following this volume been a sly, coldly logical and calculating Autobot, borderlining on being a Decepticon almost because of his ruthlessness. However, this Spotlight contradicts everything we seemingly knew about Prowl and is in even more of a stark contrast to the Prowl that appears in following issues. This seems to be a massive blooper on the writers / scripters' part. The animation is quite blocky and amatuerish as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars The IDW Collection to have 29 May 2012
By Mcdo - Published on Amazon.com
Well, here's my review on book 6 of that IDW Transformers collection. As mentionned before, those IDW collection books are truly the Ultimate Transformers Edition. I like using that description because i believe this is one of the best collection i have ever owned. The sixth Book of this collection is no different. Again, the oversize of the book which, in my opinion, makes you appreciate the beauty of the art even more, is absolutely fantastic.

The story (For all man kind) is not as good as stories in the previous books like infiltration and hail megatron, but it is still worth a read. The last stand of the wreckers is solid. Bumblebee is ok. I did not find it necessary, but since it is included, might as well have it. The Spotlight of Prowl is pretty good. There seems to be less content in this book than previous ones, but i am still very satisfied with it.

In conclusion, if you are a Transformers fan, you must check out those books. I would say the entire IDW Collection is a must buy for a Transformers fan. I have ordered all of my IDW Collection volumes and they all came in in perfect shape with no scratches. They were all well packaged. I am assuming Vol 7 will come out since there's already been sequels in paperbacks to the story For all man kind. Unsure where this collection will stop, but i do not really care. I will get them all.

5.0 out of 5 stars What can I say? Its "more than meets the eye"! (I was too excited and bought all the Seven volumes available) 8 Dec 2012

And YES,
It is a must for every transformers fan.
Pages are in impecable condition. It even has a foreword from the artists in the beginning. And for all those thinking there are no cover arts. YES they are IN there.

I love the hard covers of each Volume. A Decepticon / Autobot stands out with its massive bust. Way cool.

My only hope if they would release the G1 Comic Encyclopedia again MTMTE Volumes, and in this very way. (But thats another story)

About the shippment.
I am from Chile and I requested this comic through Amazon.
The comics did arrive in the nick of time (even earlier than I expected) and in impecable condition.
So.. Five Stars for this.

One important notice.
For all you transformers fans. I would highly recommend to buy these editions now. They are invaluable.
If you wait too long (maybe a couple of years), maybe its value would raise too much and two things might happen.
I will be out of stock! You might find it for an absurd price like it happened on the More Than Meets the Eye Transformer encyclopedia. (Right now the prices is very reasonable).

And I will end once again. It's very much worth it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Series!! 26 Feb 2014
By Nerv103 - Published on Amazon.com
Have been a huge transformers fan since I was a child, and will probably be for life. But I did get out of comic book collecting a while ago. When found these books though I had to start collecting them!! Each volumes has been put together really well and I have enjoyed the stories a lot. I really like the over sized format of the books and the hardcover editions look great on my bookshelf.

IDW's hardcover reprint collections rock. Amazing quality and much better than having stacks of comics laying around. I love that it has the ribbon bookmark too. Again AMAZING print quality. Well worth every cent!
5.0 out of 5 stars Bumblebee's spotlight 30 May 2013

In this volume, I got the treat to see one of the most adorable mascots become a leader. Seeing Bumblebee taking on this responsibilty and all that it entails of trauma was a pure treat!!
