The original, and in many ways, the best of the Transformers TV and film series. This boxset contains the original three-part pilot More Than Meets The Eye as well as the remaining 13 episodes of the first season. This is the series which introduced the important concepts of the classic 'Generation 1' Transformers universe, as well as the debuts of many of its most memorable characters; The perpetually treacherous Starscream, The Insecticons, Jetfire/Skyfire the Decepticon turned Autobot, the Constructicons and their combined form Devastator, and, of course, the awesome Dinobots ("Me Grimlock kick butt").
Filled with great characters, amazing voice work (Welker, Cullen and Latta in particular stand out) and a clever mix of action and comic relief, these are certainly worth your time. If you're older like myself, you watched these as a child/teenager and will remember them fondly; if you've only previously seen the 2007 Animated series, or the Bay films, this is Genesis. Worth every penny/cent/whatever currency you use.

I can remember watching the re-runs of this when I was a kid, as well as some of the later incarnations of Transformers. & what can I say, what a great idea Cybernetic Life forms that transform into veicals and/or huge orbital cannnons (i.e. Tripycon) who are split into 2 Factions the Autobots & The Decepicons.
The First season of the Origianl Transformers brought back quite a few happy childhood memories & was a thrill to watch again! Well worth the money if your an old or new Transfomers Fan.

Grew up watching these episodes as a child and loved them! My two boys discovered transformers through an Xbox 360 game, so I decided to buy them this item and they love Transformers now too! My oldest boy runs round shouting he's Optimus Prime, just like I did at his age! They are classics, the new modern Transformers cartoon ain't a patch on these 80's classic!

Bought this set for my 7 yr old son who has seen the first movie and loves the transformer toys. He is very pleased with this set and has watched it several times

Good video for 45 minutes of peace
I bought this for my 5 year old son and he loves it. The quality of the animation is a little dated, which is why I gave it 4 stars insteand of 5 but I do recommend it for kids... Read more
