This version of Starscream is fantastic! A real improvement over the first movie version by far. There is very little kibble on the toy, as you may remember with the first version, it was a robot folded up with a poor F22 'case' on the top, there where huge rocket pods under the wings and a lot of robotic parts on the underside and was generally a disappointing figure, but not on this!

The F22 itself is very accurate, the only kibble on this thing are the hands at the back, which considering the detailing of the plane mode, are a very small complaint, on the wings the missiles clip on with a small peg for each, giving a nice realistic missile look, there is nothing more on the wings, meaning they're very thin as you would expect.

The transformation first time is a little tricky, but nothing too drastic and after the first time, it's a very easy figure to transform. The robot mode is great, there is little kibble once more, the torso is beautifully detailed, as is the head, which when moving side to side, turns some cogs and rods in the torso. My only complaint is the legs, they seem a little boring, however this is no major problem.

The paint job is great too, perhaps not something the air force may use, but the tattoo's and the symbols look great.

I would definately recommend picking him up above most other figures out there, he's great for collectors and children alike!

    10/10

I remember the time when Transformers were made in Japan using metal parts and good quality plastic. Sadly those days have passed and if you want some quality Japanese Transformers it means trawling the internet and ebay for some originals from days gone by.

This toy is Starscream from the new Transformers movies and to be fair is one of the better quality and better made toys. It's good quality plastic with lots of moving parts and has good detailing, BUT for younger children it is hard to transform into a robot and back to a plane again - it's hard for me and I'm 35! Some parts have to be forced into place but nothing feels like it's gonna snap anytime soon unlike the Optimus Prime Movie Leader toy at £45 (which has parts that are starting to show signs of stress on the plastic).

What more can i say? This is a good quality toy, made in China, but a far cry from the Japanese originals.

If you get it it's good fun for the first week or so, and then after that you lose interest. It is not very strong but if you are a Transformer collector it is a good addition to your collection.
