Another pleasant suprise from the Revenge Of The Fallen toyline, Brawn is a solid figure that homages the original 1980s toy, and makes good on that character's bio of being the Autobot's muscle. This also makes up for 25 years of having one of the Autobot's strongest warriors represented by a largely rubbish toy, so hooray for that.
Brawn takes his cues from some of the Movie-verse's ancilary military vehicles, and is some sort of armoured pick up truck. Those who care overmuch would be able to tell you the exact make and model. its a nice, chunky little thing with some nice detailing and a suitably murky colourscheme for urban assault. Transforming Brawn is relatively simple. He's a shell-former, with the robot mode foling out from the chasis and the vehcile parts folding around the robot mode. Its a simple enough sequence devoid of any major frustration, which means he makes an excellent plaything. The military grey opening up to reveal a mix of silver, green and gold, accented with red highlights is a winning combination too! I like that the roof mounted weapon can also be moved into position above his head, so that along with his two hand held pistols, Brawn looks every inch the Autobot warrior - much in the vein of Ironhide, but more successfully realised.
A good, solid figure and one that transcends his 'homage' status, managing to be a character in his own right. A nice suprise from a line that has shaped up to be one of the best offerings from Hasbro over recent years. As ever, a steep retail price is the toy's biggest failing, which makes him only worth bothering with if you can find him for a [] or less.

Compared to some of the other transformer toys this one is harder to transform into a robot and back. It's tough and looks good once transformed.

Brawn is seriously one of the coolest Autobots. He looks awesome, and is pretty easy to transform from vehicle to robot..(Getting back into vehicle mode is a little bit more difficult.) Overall his transformation isn't too hard, as long as you are patient and use the directions. The robot mode looks great, and has flexible appendages. The forest green and dark gray color sceme look great. He comes with twin blasters that he can hold in his fists when in robot mode. The durability rating is only 4 stars because his leg has popped off a few times, but it snaps back on easily. His vehicle mode is a Hummer HX, and it rolls well. He even has a poseable machine gun on the roof. Both vehicle and robot mode are really cool. He measures up pretty well to the other deluxe figures like Sideswipe and Bumblebee. He is also easier to transform than some of the other deluxe figures. (cough cough 'Bee cough) Brawn is really sweet in appearence and functionality. I would definetly recommend this to a friend.

Wow, I'm glad I got this guy. This guy looks so gruff and "bad" (in a good way) that he was worth the wait! He has a back cannon AND dual pistols! His articulation is spot on and his movement is top notch! THe only gripe I have are his knees, he is a little squat... but other than that he is well balanced and perfect for the obscure vehicle themed robots! Place him next to Stockade, Armorhide, and Stratosphere and you have a team!
