This toy is about 3 inches tall, average plastic, and pretty durable. However, the current price of the toy ($12 on Amazon; Hasbro's retail price was $4) is not, from my standpoint, worth it. You'd get more fun out of the bigger and more intricate G1 Starscream toys that are worth their high price tags. If you can find this particular toy somewhere cheap, I'd recommend it, as it looks pretty good and transforms well (and very easily, if that's what you're looking for) for a small toy. It does lack some mobility in robot mode; Starscream can't move his legs forward, and his arms have no elbow joint. His helmet is light grey in my version of the toy, but in some versions it's dark grey. I'd recommend watching a review of this toy before buying for a better estimate of its size and what it looks like; search youtube for 'Reveal the Shield Legends Starscream' or watch [...]
In conclusion, I'd say this toy would be great for kids because of it's easy transformation process and good durability, were it not for the relatively high pricetag. Collectors might want to pass unless you absolutely have to have the Legends class.
I'd also like to note that his tiny face does have a smirk; how accurate!

I collect smaller Transformers because usually the larger versions are much too pricey for my liking. So when I saw this Starscream I thought I'd add him to my collection.
It's nice to see that Starscream has been given his G1 appearance instead of his awful bayformer design. The coloring is accurate and the appearance looks great! He's also relatively easy to transform once you get the hang of it. But the only downside is that his legs cannot move forward like the rest of the smaller Transformers. I have an ironhide and bumblebee of the same make and their legs can move forward.
Besides that however, this is a great little collector's item. I wouldn't really suggest it for kids as it is very small but I'm sure that any child would enjoy it just as much as a collector.

I am in college and I collect Transformers and I have always been a fan of the Generation 1 Starscream. This version is a lot of fun and is affordable. Slightly overpriced on Amazon, but still worth it. This is a good buy for kids as well as he is durable, easy to transform, and can be easily played with as he is small.
