Being a big Transformers fan who has read every other book I was obviously going to buy this. I was not disappointed at-all! This is a really good read! If you are a fan of the original G1 Transformers series then this will suit you perfectly - its based off earth in the early days just after the Autobots left Cybdertron to search for the All-spark. The chapters aren't very long and you can easily get through 2 chapters in your lunch hour with plenty of time to spare. Quintessons, Sharkticons - Autobots and Decepticons forced to work together (i won't give away the story) - if you have read the others then go for this and enjoy it. Now I can't wait for the next novel to be released!

This is probably the most boring and incorrectly written of the 8 books in the series. It doesnt make you want to read on, even though as a fan, you will. Things like naming Hot Rod as Rodimus long before he changed will annoy most people. Slang and phrases from Earth are used before there was even human life on Earth. There are good bits and are most definitely bad bits. I would have prefered Alan Dean Foster or Alex Irvine to have written it. You'll feel good you finished it but you wont want to read it again. Give it a go just don't get too excited.

For Transformers fans only, brilliant! Would have been good to elaborate on the history of how the Transformers got to where they were i.e. in such a destructive war, but otherwise, fantastic.
